JB’s El Mexico Dirt Track Fan Tour

Ride roads you’ve never ridden

Drink Tequilas you have never drank

11 Nights/12 Days - Road Tour, starts and ends in McAllen, Texas

Plan for the 2007 tour

The ride itself is dramatic with incredible mountain roads, lush tropics, tall pines, awesome desert valleys and the inviting colors of the Gulf of Mexico. Each day presents a new look and scenic reward. This is a road-touring event, the route is paved and any motorcycle you choose should easily serve your needs. You can ride your bike or rentals are available.

Departing McAllen we head toward the area know as the Colonial region which has always been a favorite, introducing riders to Mexico's history, beginning with the arrival of conquistadors from Spain in 1519 and lasting until the War of Independence in 1821. European colonists brought much of their tradition, creating a life-style in the image of their homeland. Everywhere are reminders of the Old World. Cathedrals, convents and monasteries, fashioned in styles of Baroque and Gothic, reveal the influence of religion. Even the food and music are elements unique to the region.

Along the trail of the conquistadors, Mexico's earliest cultures are also present. Before the blue eyed conquerors, there were and still remain, the native indigenous peoples. At a time when Mexico is progressing with modernization, it still remains richly entrenched in its past with traditions and folklore that can be traced through the centuries

For centuries this Gulf of Mexico port has witnessed the arrival of invaders, the vanquishing of tyrants, the ravages of pirates and even a military expedition by US Marines. Yet it survives a romantic and intriguing port, rich in history, a crossroads of the Americas. Veracruz has an energy and character that is more than just Mexican...it is uniquely Veracruzano!

Today's visitor can feel the energy. The Plaza de Armas is a world-class arena for people-watching, where the marimba is the native instrument and musicians never seem to sleep. Rich black coffee, complemented with hot milk, if you please, is served ceremoniously in the open air Paroquia, where tapping the tall glass noisily with your spoon brings an immediate refill...if you can handle it. The seafood here is legendary and a good Cuban cigar is an easy find. And Plaza is full of the spirit of the ultimate Mexican fiesta.

Although the city of the True Cross is a great destination, this tour delivers much more! You'll see one of Mesoamerica's most impressive archaeological sights...Teotihuacan, the magnificent pyramid city...where you can climb the Pyramid of the Sun, one of the largest pyramids in the world. The ruins of El Tajin near Poza Rica are small in comparison, but the high flying performance of native Indians known as Voladores are sure to give a thrill. The ride along the Pan American Highway through the high mountains of the Sierra Madre Orientales offers some of the best motorcycling anywhere. Old world elegance, native Indian color; roads you have never ridden and tequilas you have never drank. This is the real Mexico.
