"Pipeline"

"Pipeline" depicts Harley-Davidson XR-750s in the the tech inspection line preparing for the legendary Springfield Mile. The line up of flat track stars Kevin Atherton's, Johnny "Showtime" Murphree's, and Brian Smith’s motorcycles draws you into the scene. "THE DRAFT"
"The Draft" at Springfield is legendary. And Champions Chris Carr and Jay
Springsteen have had epic drafting wars on The Springfield Mile. This vibrantly
colored piece captures these flat track heroes at 140 mph as they test each
others metal and machinery on the way to a photo finish.
Each rider tries to get "under the paint" to reduce their wind resistance. Note each rider's, left hand not on the handlebar, but their arm tucked close to the gas tank to cheat the wind. Carr prefers to reach for the front forks while Springer grabs his tank.

"PARKER"
Scott Parker has often been called the GOAT. Greatest Of All Time and it's no wonder. Parker won 94 AMANational races en route to 9 Grand National Championships more than anyone in AMA flat track history.. His awards and accolades could file this website. Parker was the people's Champion. He sign has probably signed more autographs and posed for more pictures that any AMA racer. In fact at his last GNC win at the Springfield Mile, he choose a fan out of the stands to share the podium with him and he gave the fan his trophy. The piece depicts Parker on the gas in the cushion of the Pomona Half-Mile.

"SPRINGER"

"Springer" is captured running it in at the famed Hagerstown Half-Mile. The speed, style and intensity of Jay Springsteen jumps off the canvas. Springer won his first Grand National at Louisville in 1975 and even though running a limited schedule now is still a threat to win any race he enters. At the May 2006 Mile, Jay came with inches of capturing his 44 GNC win.
Springer once said to be successful racing dirt track you have to race like a turtle. "You don't go fast unless you stick your neck out."

"COOL BLUE GROOVE"
Kenny Coolbeth "The King of Cool" has always been known as a
master of the blue groove.

This piece shows the 2006-7 AMA Twins National Champion setting sail on the Blue Groove of I-96 speedway in Lake Odessa, Michigan. Coolbeth joined the factory Harley-Davidson team in '06 and rewarded them and the Harley faithful with their first Championship since Scott Parker retired.

"RICKY G"
The late Ricky Graham had an illustrious career in AMA Grand National competition. The three time Champion is the only rider to win GNC titles on both Harleys and Hondas. In 1993, Graham had the best season in the history of AMA dirt track. Graham won 6 Nationals in a row, and 12 total wins in his career year to secure his third title. Graham was best known for his dominance of the legendary Springfield Mile. "Mr. Springfield" always saluted his adoring fans by wheeling the length of the straightaway with the checkered flag cracklin' in the wind.
The Ricky G oil on canvas giclee, captures Graham's traditional victory salute on Johnnie and Sara Goad's Honda after winning The Mile securing the 1993 Grand National Championship.
"BUBBA"
"Hubba, Hubba, here comes Bubba" was the announcers call at the DuQuoin "Magic MILE" on four occasions when Shobert rode his Honda RS750 to victory. Hall of Famer, Bubba Shobert earned three AMA Grand National titles and is one of few competitors to achieve the prestigious AMA Grand Slam with National wins on a mile, half-mile, TT, short track, and in road racing. Shobert went on to win the AMA Superbike championship, and twice was named AMA Pro Athlete of the Year.

"JERSEY JAKE"

Jake Johnson kicked off the 2006 season with a win at the Daytona Short Track on his factory Suzuki RZ450. One of the best of the new young lions, Jake went on to win the inaugural AMA Ford Quality Checked Singles National Championship. Johnson who also competes on the big Suzuki 1000, is known for his smooth, yet aggressive style.
In this oil on canvas giclee, Johnson powers his way to glory at Daytona.
"ATHERTON"
Kevin Atherton at the Vernon Downs Mile
This fine art piece captures Kevin Atherton flashing the peace sign way sideways in the deep cushion of the Vernon Downs Mile. "Cupcake" one of the most beloved and flashy riders in the AMA Grand National Series won the Vernon Mile to complete a maraclous comeback after devestating injuries in DuQuoin. Kevin is now recovering from a concusion at Dayton in March, 2006.
A portion of the proceeds goes to the help Kevin's Poovey recovery.

SIX PACK features a sextet of Grand National Stars at the DuQuoin "Magic Mile." Yes, look close, there are 6 riders in this piece. Steve Morehead-42, Davey Camlin-27, Scott Parker-1 lead Kevin Atherton-23, "Hot Rod" Farris-92, and Chris Carr-4 at speed. Of this group Parker, Atherton, Carr and Camlin are all DuQuoin Mile winners. This impressionistic piece is full of rich vibrant colors that captures the drama of wide open side-by-side racing.

Terry Poovey at the Springfield Mile

Here, Terry is back on the gas in turn three.

KING KENNY -- INDY MILE 1975 -- TZ7500
"They don't pay me enough to ride that thing."
This piece portrays Kenny Roberts on the TZ750 4 cylinder road race engined dirt tracker at the Indy Mile in 1975.The only way Roberts could ride this overpowered machine was up in the hay bales. He came from behind to blitz by the Harley wrecking crew at the finish line. Afterwards he uttered the infamous words, "They don't pay me enough to ride that thing." At season's end the AMA banned the beast with agreement of all involved.
